James Martin, Lead Captivator
Since early 2001, Jim has grown his skills from an interactive software developer to the CEO (and COR, Chief Obstacle Remover) of Captivation Media Group, a globally recognized internet marketing and advertising agency.
His knowledge and expertise has afforded him the opportunity to interact with countless South West Florida Brands, in addition to such names as General Motors, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and NASA.
Whether your business is around the corner from him, or around the globe â€“ Jim has the experience and passion to lead an amazing team of individuals to support your companyâ€™s interactive marketing & brand development/strategy needs.
Jim has a bachelorâ€™s degree in Information Technology from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!).
In his spare time (what is that again?) Jim enjoys reading, relaxing at the beach, traveling in time machines and seeking out the worldâ€™s goofiest YouTube videos to share with his wife, team and friends.
Wes Boland, Chief Operations Officer
Being Captivationâ€™s Chief Operations Officer, Wes is heavily involved with every aspect of the companyâ€™s operations, including web design, graphic design and keeping the information architecture running smoothly. Wes is proficient in many applications, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Angry Birds (just to name a few).
Working together since 2005, Wes and Jim form a â€śdynamic duoâ€ť when it comes to keeping Captivation Media at the cutting edge of the interactive advertising industry. (although, we did have to ask them to stop wearing tights and capes to business meetings).
Wes graduated from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls, again!) in 2007 with a bachelorâ€™s degree in Information Technology.
Wes is a huge movie buff and his posters and props decorate the office space. He is also an avid ghost buster. After a hard dayâ€™s work, he and his wife like to unwind by searching for man-eating crocodiles in city sewers. (Hmmmâ€¦ theyâ€™ve been missing for three days now. I wonder if we should be worried?)
Eric Lyons, Research & Development
As Relationship Manager, Eric wears many hats at work (however he seems to avoid wearing them in real life). Eric oversees the many social network accounts, ensuring the satisfaction of our clients and discovering new opportunities for increasing their levels of awareness in the marketplace. He also plays a big part in Flash development, web and graphic design, as well as assisting in developing strategies for promotions.
Before working at Captivation Media, Eric worked in the non-profit sector for the Boys & Girls Club while interfacing with community youth development organizations like CYD. In a previous life, Eric was an elder statesman in Ancient Greece. Before that, he didnâ€™t exist.
Eric has a bachelorâ€™s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of South Florida (Oh geez, Go Bulls yet again!).
Jeffrey Ward, Director of Media
Being Captivation Mediaâ€™s Director of Marketing and principal copywriter, Jeffrey enjoys the challenge of creating a distinct and memorable voice for each client, as well as for Captivation. â€śWords are powerful, effective tools that can motivate, stimulate and blackmail my co-workers into giving me their lunch,â€ť says Jeff (between taking bites of Ericâ€™s sandwich).
In addition to an extensive background in copywriting and marketing, Jeff is a screenwriter, filmmaker and avid Halloween enthusiast. On weekends, he likes to sit at home and play heavy metal music while eating his weight in chocolate.
Jeff has a bachelorâ€™s degree in Film and Television Production from Columbia College (Goâ€¦uh, never mindâ€¦ Jeff went to one of those schools that didnâ€™t have a mascot)
